IDE is a basic program for use with all our boards. It feature all functionalities to edit the code, download, communicate with the DSP board. The IDE provides functionalities to debug a control algorithm. These features include inspection and modification of variables as well as data acquisition. |

| Code editing and project management |
The IDE provide a syntax highlight editor. The user project is displayed in a window representing the complete project tree. It is managed with simple drag and drop commands. |
| Program compilation |
The program is automatically compiled and downloaded to the DSP board. The make utility compiles only the modules that have been modified. All the options can be edited. Default values are provided for each option |

| Program download |
Once compiled, the program has to be downloaded on the DSP board. The process consist in writing the new program into the FLASH memory located on the board. When download is completed, the board can be reset to start the new program. If the new program hangs, a help monitor can be used to restore the communication. |

| FPGA programmation |
The FPGA program is edited and compiled with standard tools. The FPGA environment produces a configuration file which can be used and incorporated into the project. The program is downloaded into the FLASH memory. At the startup, the DSP can program the FPGA to activate it. |

| Acquisition |
The acquisition is used to develop control application. The acquisition is fully transparent to the user when the program is written. All the program variables ( defined as global ) can be acquired. The data is displayed in graph windows. Each graph can be modified or printed. Also, the data can be saved in standard formats. |

| Variable inspection and modification |
Any variable defined as global can be inspected or modified from the IDE. This feature is very powerful for debugging the program and typically, for tuning a controller without having to recompile the program. |
