Hardware Bloc-Diagram

The hardware of the DAVID board is build around a floating point DSP from Analog Devices (R). This DSP is able of 32MHz instruction rate. The arithmetic unit work with 32 bits data number. Internal memory allow simultaneous load of instruction, program memory space data and data memory space data. By example, this DSP is able to compute a 1024 points FFT in 480us. But the main feature is that with your C code, the Compiler will produce assembler which use all the features of the DSP. Your code will be very efficient, allowing you to specifiy your application without writing one line of assembly code.
